There was a JHJ pre-cruise party at the San Luis Hotel in Galveston. There were 33 rooms reserved at the San Luis Hotel and 5 rooms reserved at the Hilton Hotel – the Hilton is located next door. A total of 75 people spent the night in Galveston prior to the cruise. The pre-cruise party was free to anyone (cruisers & non-cruisers) that wished to attend. Food and alcoholic drinks could be purchased. Soft drinks, water and snacks were provided. The party was held on the 2nd floor of the San Luis Party/Game Room. There was an auction for a San Luis Hotel basket which included a free night at the San Luis, a bottle of champagne and 2 champagne glasses. Congratulations to Sonia & John Mitchell who won the prize. Besides those staying at the hotel, there were several people that came from the Houston area and also from out of town to join us. There were about 100 people in attendance. Those that attended had a GREAT time!
